Actually it'll be pretty painless I think. I already dealt with the one scary thing, a glass of butterscotch pudding that's been in there for six months, and the scotch must have preserved it or something b/c it just slid into the sink and there was no mold or anything and the glass actually looked perfectly clean (don't worry, I washed it thoroughly anyway).
